First Baptist Church Kinston is excited to launch a new ministry opportunity this year by participating in the Christmas Backpack Ministry. In partnership with Alabama WMU and the Mississippi River Ministry, we will join churches across the state to provide backpacks filled with essentials, gifts, and the Gospel to children and teens in some of the most impoverished areas along the Mississippi River.

Each backpack is packed with new hygiene items, clothing, school supplies, toys, food, and a copy of “The Christmas Story.” During distribution events, ministry teams share the Gospel with every child and family. In recent years, Alabama Baptists have provided over 14,000 backpacks annually, resulting in hundreds of professions of faith each Christmas season.

This ministry meets urgent needs and offers the hope of Christ in a tangible way. As we begin this new outreach at FBC Kinston, we invite you to be part of sharing His love with children who need it most.
