At First Baptist Church Kinston, we believe in spreading the love of Jesus both near and far—and one way we do that is through Operation Christmas Child, a powerful outreach ministry led by our Women on Mission.
Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, sends gift-filled shoeboxes to children around the world who are in need—many of whom have never received a gift before. Each box is an opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and bring hope to a child’s life.
Throughout the year, our Women on Mission group gathers items, assembles shoeboxes, and organizes packing events for the church family. It’s a mission that involves all generations—from children helping pick out toys and school supplies, to adults praying over the boxes before they’re sent.
Here’s how you can get involved:
Donate items such as hygiene products, toys, and school supplies
Join us for packing parties (dates will be announced in the church bulletin and calendar)
Sponsor a shoebox to help cover shipping and discipleship materials
Pray for the children who will receive each box
This is more than just a gift—it’s a chance to be part of something eternal. Every box is packed with love, prayer, and the hope found in Jesus.
